Radar Recordings is a collective of independent artists founded in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, by Will Benoit and Mike Repasch-Nieves. They draw from their experience at labels such as TVT
Records, Hydra Head
Records, Century
Media, and Vagrant Records
to represent this family. The artists who make up the Radar community can be found all over the map, brought together by common beliefs, goals, and a hope to remind people that something else is out there.
Radar Recordings is not a "label" in the typical sense, mainly due to the fact that it is entirely run and funded by the artists themselves. It can exist as long as people continue to buy the records, come out to the shows, and support the independent populace. When you buy a Radar product, your money is going directly to the artists who created it, and to maintaining the Radar community.
